Alison McDowell is currently seconded into the Office for Digital Identities and Attributes and fulfils many roles advising on the adoption of digital identity across public and private sector. Being in government, Alison believes in policy which must be underpinned by the diversity of lawmakers overseeing workplace inclusion and creating trusted technologies for everyone.
Alison worked on the development of a digital identity system in the UK, and in this engaging interview for our Transformative Women series, she explained how hiring tech experts with different backgrounds impacts the scale of technologies that meet trust markers like security, privacy and usability for all. As a former Head of Human Resources, she is instinctive about the balancing challenges for parents and persistent challenges that women face. We were honoured to invite her onto our platform to discuss the levels of female representation in stakeholders.
