As a visionary biometrics leader, iProov tailors its solutions to recognise the diverse technological adoption and regulatory landscapes across all regions. As this interview reveals, there is a spectrum of new and old attacks where information can be spread very quickly to enable these frauds across the globe.
Fraud can happen anywhere so whilst threat management may vary from region to region, iProov is firmly committed to tried and proven biometric technologies which assure the genuine presence of a user in real-time.
Deepfake fraud is a global threat that not many companies are truly good at tackling, says Dominic Forrest, iProov’s Chief Technology Officer. It is no longer enough to install available software against deepfakes without monitoring by a team of experts and regular updates. In Q1 2024 in the APAC region, iProov released over 100 updates to protect their software against deepfakes and any form of attack.
Mobile penetration is very high in the APAC region, and mobile-first solutions are often preferred. iProov is also leveraging this trend to deliver user-friendly and accessible biometric authentication solutions.
