With 4,000 new passenger enrolments onto TSA’s PreCheck scheme in 2023, not only is the traveller verification procedure through TSA’s touchpoints more standardised, but the funding can be used towards innovation and the next series of advancements for the aviation sector.
Identity Week America 2023 was the formal meeting place for members of the travel industry where the Transportation Security Administration re-addressed the mission of PreCheck, which is to facilitate free movement for people and commerce across 640 public-facing enrolment centres nationwide.
They have delivered expedited traveller screening in less than 10 seconds by deploying identity management capabilities and nurturing a beneficial partnership with the FBI, which has developed a biometric matching service called Rap Back.
