Passengers can touch down at Rhode Island’s T.F. Green International Airport (PVD) main terminal with CLEAR’s frictionless biometric e-gates that verify journeys through face or iris scan technology.
CLEAR published a release sharing that the expansion of face-matching solutions would continue to deliver a “predictable airport experience” that members can trust. CLEAR is already fixing biometric touchpoints within 8 of PVD’s top domestic destinations to expedite travel from start to finish of their member’s journey. The airport also boasts TSA’s physical security checkpoints, which passengers pass through after completing identity verification at CLEAR’s network of dedicated lanes.
CLEAR’s total footprint covers 55 airports and the technology serves to enhance customer experiences for 19 million members. The deployment of CLEAR at PVD’s main terminal is expected to generate 28 jobs and approximately $1.5 million per annum towards the local travel economy.
A membership for CLEAR Plus providing access to speedier identity verification lanes costs $16 a month.
Newly enrolling active military, veterans, and government officials are also eligible for discounted memberships, and additional family Members can be added to an existing CLEAR Plus account for $99 per adult per year.

Biometric touchpoints at PVD include passive liveness detection with selfie authorisation and promise a high level of security assurance with an opt-in data clause. Passengers retain their rights over consenting to data use by travel companies.
