Respected as a thought leader in biometric technology and renowned for his strategic foresight and transformative leadership, Martis brings a wealth of expertise to this new role and is prepared to launch the company’s growth trajectory in both go-to-market and product strategies.
In his new role, Peter will be responsible for overseeing the strategic initiatives aimed at expanding market presence and enhancing product offerings. This entails spearheading the creation of innovative products, capabilities, and processes that align with evolving market demands and trends, facilitating expansion into new sectors and regions to capture emerging opportunities.

Before joining ID R&D, Martis served as the driving force behind global sales and product strategy at Innovatrics, where he was instrumental in the creation of products such as SmartFace and the Digital Onboarding Toolkit (DOT), that later became known as eKYC technology during the pandemic.
Prior to Innovatrics, Martis pioneered the development of the voice biometrics sector in Central and Eastern Europe for Nuance Communications. His efforts there were crucial in establishing a solid foundation for voice recognition technologies across multiple markets. Martis’ early career at Microsoft Corp. provided him with a robust technical background, contributing to the Microsoft Office 95 team. This experience equipped him with the essential skills and insights needed to innovate in more complex fields like biometrics later in his career.
