Commemorating 25 years of excellence, NADRA launched Pakistan’s first dematerialised ID card.

The milestone was marked by congratulatory messages from national leaders, a commemorative coin in honour of innovation from the State Bank, and a special postage stamp from Pakistan Post.

The President praised government efforts to provide a legal and unique identity to citizens and encouraged emerging technologies to be accelerated to unleash even more efficiency and “the highest standards of integrity, accessibility, and citizen satisfaction”.

The introduction of the Pak ID Mobile Application will eliminate the need for citizens to carry physical ID card. Digital verification systems will soon be rolled out with a pilot set to launch on August 14 to streamline authentication processes for various services, as part of the World Bank-supported Digital Economy Enhancement Project.

NADRA’s extensive network ensures identity services are readily available even in the remotest areas of Pakistan.
